Stay in. Have a bubble bath together, cook a special meal, have wine and candles and music and rose petals, wear sexy pajamas. Watch romantic movies. If it snows, turn off all the lights and open the windows and watch the snow falling while sipping wine or hot cocoa or whatever you like. Make the best of it.

For our first anniversary, my husband has something planned, all I know at this point is I have to dress up for dinner at 5. If you can't get out, than cook him a special dinner, complete with candles. He'll appreciate the effort, especially since the roads are hard to drive on. Congrats on your anniversary.

Have an indoor picnic. Make the food yourself, light some candles if you have any, put a blanket on the floor and another spare one nearby (for cuddling). Also, put the blanket in front of a TV so you can watch a movie after eating.

prepare a candle lit dinner, while your favorite songs are playing in the background, create a special ambience. Take pictures of you together, use the self timer in the camera. Snuggle by the fireside and watch some movies on dvd or television.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO BOTH OF YOU.

Well you could start off the evening with a nice movie you both like to watch, then you could make a nice home cooked meal. then after dinner you could play a board game an then just spend the rest of the evening together without any distractions/

What about a nice candlelit dinner? Or rent some movies and stay in and cuddle. There are many things to do when one can not go out, you just have to use your imagination. Maybe you could go out side and have a snow ball fight if it snows enough.

What kind of person is he?
Remember that you don't have to do anything HUGE for your first anniversary. Start small and work your way up! Invite him over and make him dinner, eat over candlelight, and watch a romantic movie while cuddling. That's it! You don't have to do something HUGE. Remember that it's the little things that count.
