Love Shepherd….um,
why so judgmental?
I am asking for understanding, is that my view????
I want others to view the answer as well.
Ever play chess.
You have to think moves ahead. I want to share views world wide on our religion with out bashing or insulting. I am not afraid to say my view if you want it. I believe that Jesus is God in the flesh and only the Holy Ghost can reveal himself to any body.. Jesus prayed to God being God the man to God the Spirit. With man this is impossible but with God all things are possible.
OK that’s my view so there will not be any misunderstanding. But we are to love our enemies so we must learn of them to know them, so we can love them, We do not have to let go of our Faith, or be afraid of loosing. That is not possible to some one who is in Christ Jesus.

No you can not....

The one known as Jesus of Nazareth was both Fully God and fully man.... He was and is Jesus The Christ. King of The Jews.... His Sacrifice and His Blood paid the sin debt of all of mankind.... but... only those who come to God in The Way He prescribes will receive His free gift of Salvation and enter Heaven.

You must believe that he was the son of God. Otherwise what would be the point? If he were only a man then his sacrifice would be worthless.

Consider this, only a God could pay the penalty of the judgement pronounced by God on us. Not a mere man could satisfy this.

That is why, from a christian standpoint, you must believe he is man, but yet God.

John 1:1-4
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.

For christianity to be valid, he has to be God. If you do not believe he was God then you are in essence calling him a liar.

If you call him liar, why would you follow someone who is a liar?

Why would you want to be saved by a false teacher?

So, no. From a christian point of view, I would say given the scriptures, you have to believe that he is indeed the son of God, but also that he is God.

I'm not an authority but from what I've read so far, this is the case.

John 1:10-14
10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, 13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 10:30
"I and the Father are one."

I think that your questions would be taken as a negative one in most Christian points of view.

There are some very significant questions floated your way in order to understand why you came up with what you came up with in regards to Jesus.

IF you got the information that Jesus was anything at all from the Bible, then what would you make of things that he said such as, 'Before Abraham was I AM, I saw Satan cast down, I and the Father are one' , what would you consider different about those things that you would not believe them, but you would believe that he was a 'messenger of God'?

Why would you accept him as one, when the same record shows him being the center of the religious world? Whith sayings like, 'except you believe in me, you cannot enter the kingdom', and ' if you see me, you've seen the Father' ?

It's those things that sets Jesus apart from the 'only a prophet' or a 'good and wise teacher', because if he is who he is in the Bible, then he is the one that was to come to wash away the sins of the world.

If you really want to delve into this, then I can be found at factororopinion.net ( or as I affectionately call it, 'FOO' ) , as KingReef. I would greatly welcome your participation.

The one thing that this site is devoid of (Y!A) is continual communication.

Well I am already saved. To me Jesus was a special messenger on earth sent from God with good news just like you said. We as Christians need to have faith and know that he was a not just a man but God sent in a form of a man. Somewhere in the Bible, I cant recall for sure at the moment, though, say that the Spirit became flesh and made his dwelling among us. So to be saved, you can't believe that Jesus was just a man. Emphasis on just.

To clear the air here, your views are relevant. God needed a way for Christ to be revealed to the mortal, human thought and Jesus (a man) was to personify God’s Son, Christ. You are saved in the true understanding of Christ, because sin does not exist there, nor temptation, so there is nothing that needs to be punished. Those who continue to sin, no matter what they confess or the name they call out to, are subject to the wages due for sin. It is really not a complex concept.

You've pretty much given your view, but the answer is no. It has been established that God and Jesus are one in the same and it is required that you bring Jesus into your life to be saved. If Jesus were just a man, He wouldn't be able to play that role.

Jesus is God withing the Trinity (God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit). It is the mystery that faith, hope, and love tie to man's salvation.

God is love, and God over poured because love cannot be contained. This over pouring of love created the "Three Persons in ONE", and then created the angels, and then created mankind. Satan (an angel) was disobedient to God and refused to bow and worship Jesus (God the man) and hence was banished from God (Hell = away from God or love).

Salvation requires loving Jesus; including his prophecies, good messages, and DIVINITY. Without it, you're against Christ, and near to being with Satan (purposefully removing yourself from worshiping God). However, God is final Judge and jury and we pray that God calls you to him. Christ is the bridge between humanity and divinity; it is through Christ that we get back into God's love and presence.

You will learn all there is to know about Jesus ...but first you accept him...then the spirit of God ..the Holy Ghost will teach you...according to John.14:26..

Jesus was and is God in the flesh...being in the flesh ...limited him to the weaknesses of the flesh...without sin...The bible declares in Romans 10:9..That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

So it is not just a matter of believing in him...but you must also believe the things written of him...you see the part where it says "that God hath raised him from the dead"...
That means you must believe the foundational things about Christ...He was born of a virgin..He was God in the flesh...He was without sin...you see it is more than just knowing he existed....

You must believe the bible of who and what Jesus is and was...because ..like others ....organizations that is...you would be adding to or taking away from Jesus...and the word of God...that is forbidden..according to Revelations 22:18-19....

One way you have to know why Jesus is and was God while He walked the earth was because ...God Jehovah,,Elohim,,Alpha ..Omega...The great I am..Our Father...saw through the spans of time and saw there was no Man to stand in the gap ..to be the righteousness of God...so He purposed to come ...and clothe himself in the flesh....and that's who Jesus is...the salvation of God...

The Bible tells us that our salvation is based on the Lordship of Jesus in our lives. If Jesus was just a man, how could He be Lord over us, He'd be dead.

The other part, the most important part, is that Jesus died in our stead on the cross. The penalty for sin is death, so we all deserve death. Jesus was able to live a sinless life, so it taking our place and being executed, God accepted that death as payment for our transgressions. If Jesus was just a man, He'd be born into a sinful body, thus, His death would not be able to pay for our sins.

If you believe in Salvation - Jesus has to be God.

If you deny the Bodily Resurrection and the fact that Jesus is God (The Word Made Flesh) then you have missed the cardinal doctrine of the Faith Once Delivered - the Incarnation.
