Not allowing to let people bring their own food is a sin. As is not starting the movie on time (showing previews and commercials first).

No...I do it all the time, and make no secret of it. What can I do, I like to eat popcorn when watching a film. But I keep strictly kosher and the popcorn at the theater isn't kosher. Never had a problem once it's explained. Besides, I'll always buy a soda.

NO! The high prices they charge for sodas & snacks in the theaters is a sin. Remember the money changers in the temple and how Jesus overturned their tables in rage for taking advantage of people? I kind of look at it like that. The Bible also tells us to be good stewards of our money. How wise would we be to pay $10 for a soda and a bag of popcorn? That would be a sin.

If the theatre has no signs posted saying "no food or drinks may be brought in" then you are not breaking any rules. If enough people bring in their own refreshments, maybe they will consider lowering the prices for those of us who enjoy going out to a movie now and then. I have three grandchildren and it can be very expensive for my husband, myself and them too.
If all else fails, there's always the old fashioned Drive-in theatre.

Most theaters dont make any money off the movies.

Its the food they sell that makes them money.

So feel sorry for them too and buy something for the service they give you while youre there.

In the eyes of the theatre management and the by-the-book employees it certainly is, but no religious text even mentions it. No one was condemned for bringing their own pomegranate to the chariot races.

The Gods of the movie theater think so.

I am a big sinner then ;)

lol, yes, cheapie!

;p

Trust me, sneaking food into a movie theater is understandable. Theaters rape customers with their snack prices, and rape is a sin!

i snuck 40 chicken nuggets in once. mmm yah. if not wanting to pay 5 dollars for a box of junior mints that anywhere else cost $1.99 is a sin, then so be it.

NO! I do it all the time. 50 bucks for a bag of popcorn? The prices are ridiculous.
