Vizio has greatly improved in the last two years. Their first gen TVs had fan problems and panel image defects, but the last two generations of their LCDs and Plasmas have been great. Costco is selling a new 47" Vizio 1080p LCD for 1649.99 this week, and is getting rave reviews on the internet. Their 37" model is also very good for the price, but Vizio seems to upgrade their LCD line every 6 months or so, you may want to wait for a 1080p 37" to arrive.

As far as Costco's return policy, it is set to change within the next month or so, the new terms are not yet finalized.

I don't own one, but they are a budget TV company that buys generic raw components and assembles hdtv's at a much lower price than the competitors. They save you costs by doing very litle research and much less advertising than most other companies. It won't be as high quality as a Sony, Samsung, LG, Pioneer, or Sharp, but if it looks good to you, that's all that matters. I would buy one from Costco since they have a rock solid return policy.
