how different to the picture in that link ^^^ was the USA relationship with the corrupt Mexican governmet which corruption ( of 72 years ) lead to a long lasting poverty for most Mexicans ???
how difficult is to fix a country which lived 72 year under a corrupt government with the support of the most powerful nation in the world ???
how difficult will it be for the USA to stay and fix Iraq and will it be able to do it ???
do the people of the USA still believe than the best way to bring down a corrupt government is with violence ???
did u knew than Mexico has been the only coutry which so far has done it with out violence (of course it will take long ) ???
should the USA support the not corrupt government which Mexico is still trying to create ???
would it avoid the immigration into the USA of more people from Mexico ???

i also wanted to add than the corruption of the government is not the reflexion of what the Mexicans are . today Mexico doe live with a governement which was chosen by the Mexicans yet the party which apparently wants and its tryint to help the people doe not have complete control so therefor it only needs time to get Mexcio on its feet . if the USA governement gave its support to the Mexican goevernement it would not be equal to giving their support to the old corrupt government which they supported for so long . i do not belive the USA should send the message than it only supports Mexico if its corrupt which would be the message it would send if it denies to continue to provide its help , because the USA does HELP , but yet many do not think it is on the best interest of the USA when Mexico will be right next to the USA as long as we live and pretty as far as both continue to exist which hopefully will be for long .

Wow, you have expressed many premises here. If I understand you correctly, you are stating that the US itself has proven itself historically duly violent in their global governing affairs (ties), not unlike other nations as evidenced by your link picture; and you are contrasting Mexico as a people that does NOT support a violent government, having spent the last 72 years engaged in withstanding the present corruptness, which you state is evidenced and supported by the USA, is that it?
Are you then saying that IF the USA recognized the non violent approach of Mexico's population and partnered with them to rid Mexico of its corrupt government, making it palatable to its people as a nation, that the exodus immigration into the USA would come to an end? In other words, you see that as a solution to the pollution.
It is doubtful that the USA as a people "like or approve" violence, but rather see it as a necessary evil outside of themselves, left to the powers that be. Because if I understand you, you're asking if violence is the only "appeal" to engage the USA's support.
Unlike my respected colleague, Hadenough, I do not agree that ugly is as ugly does; yes, it's true that all pimping and greed are underlying symptoms of the current immigration issue, and that we are not the only nation engaging in violent wars; however,I can understand the contrast this questioner has posed. It's not even about participants on this board capriciously supporting the breaking of the law. It is far more complex and deeper than that.
Perhaps, what I think you're asking is does it require violence to engage the most powerful nation on the planet. You speak of Iraq, and how many remember Vietnam? Frankly, we can sit here all day long and criticize the people who reason to the truth, and appear on the surface to condone the breaking of the law, OR we can look at the truth: we are not fighting wars; we are fighting cultures, and in some cases religious cultural wars. No, the USA will never impose its democracy under those conditions, dream on, dream on!
And as for Mexico, the current president is the lesser of the two evils, since the other candidate Obredor has ties with Castro and Hugo Chavez; Calderon looks to the USA for leadership, but remains in the corruptness of his party. It's a sad catch-22, indeed. But you have a point, food for thought that perhaps in the past a president like President Kennedy gave his life for.
This a question for the IMAGINE Board...imagine no human nature in governments.
And to your core question, has the USA ever supported corrupt governments, the answer is more than obvious where it benefited our sitting government! Panama is still in the crosshairs!

I shall tell you a great secret my friend. Corruption is everywhere and in every country, not one country is without it--not one. Not one is worst than the other. Greed and selfishness are the cause-until you find a cure for those things, it will not change much. Just will look like highs and lows of stability.
So yes the US has supported it. So has the United nations, Mexico, Africa and all the others.
The death of democracy is not likely to be an assassination from ambush or violence. It will be a slow extinction from apathy, indifference, and undernourishment. This is my view.
The USA should not support Mexico in any way. We have helped create their dependency and greed. And it has fed ours.
Since you asked it will all be -Very difficult as long as people remain indifferent to the actions of our Government and don't demand accountability. I don't see it happening (people are to busy making a living and pretending nothing is wrong when it is). And as long as people allow or support others to break law and order than I don't see it getting any easier.
Would it avoid immigration into the US you ask--these are run away children--fix the problems don't just give them another hideaway. We have become a pimp of a country-taking in run aways and saying we are doing it for their own good. How many even here on the board have excused wrong? How many here have a blind eye to law breaking and disorder-and try to justify wrong? How many have not demanded control? So fix the corruption in both (and all) and quit making excuses for who is the blame-----we all are.

Mexico has always had a corrupt government. Not just in the past 72 years.
What do you expect when their national hero Pancho Villa was a murdering crook and thief and even looks like Saddam Hussein!

Constantly. The US government tries to support the "lesser of two evils". For some reason though, it always comes back and bites them in the rear. Remeber Iraq? The US supported Iraq when Iraq was at war with Iran...look where that's gotten US.

Oh yes, here we go. Everything bad in the world the U. S. A. did, I did note that you didn't bring up all of the aid, both in $$$$$$ and food. When A country needs help, lets see, who do they call on first. Mexico is in no way a poor country, but do they help thier own poor, oh no, lets send them north. ------- Gee, as of yet, I've never seen anyone turn our $$$$$$ or food down.
