First off, I find Utah to be a very beautiful place. I have no problems with LDS, just don't come knocking on my door to bring me your message and and we will be ok. The same goes for the rest of you, all the Christian sects, canvassers for other causes, other religions, please don't bother me at home.
To all those people that condemn Mormonism as a mere cult made up by Joe Smith to fool people; what makes you so sure the religion you are following is any different? Just because it's been around for a few thousand years doesn't mean it might not have started out the same way. Also, those of you that say it's not Christian, lest I checked it was still called the church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. Sounds Christian enough to me.

Lighten up people, you are the ones that are always saying how loving you are, show it.

Actually, I love Utah, and I'm not a Mormon. I have fond memories of a friend I made in Green River, of hiking through Arches National Park near Moab, visiting Lake powell and Bryce Canyon, the Bonneville Salt Flats, where on a windy day you can actually sweep the salt out of your car. Utah's a beautiful state, second only to Colorado as far as I'm concerned. I've also met many wonderful people in Utah, I'd live there if I could.

There are many conflicts between the main stream beliefs of Christians and Mormons. One side note is if you live in Utah and want a good job, it would be a good thing to become a Mormon, or so I was told while there on a job interview.

I don't hate Utah, nor Mormons. I've never been to Utah. But I'd love to go, because I love to travel. I've met some Mormons and found them to be among the nicest people anywhere.

I don't hate Utah. It has some great National Parks. But I find it hard to respect anyone who buys such ridiculous malarley as Mormonism, which was a big con by Joseph Smith. Don't feel picked on. I feel the same way about Scientologists.

Never been to Utah so no, I don't hate it. As for Mormonism, read the definition of a cult. The Mormon religion is completely wacky and out to lunch.

Concerning the state of Utah, my dad went there last year and said it was incredibly beautiful. Concerning the people called Mormons, the only one I ever really met was my girlfriend for a few months and I do not really have fond memories of her, but we didn't talk about religion. Concerning the unique doctrines of Mormonism, I disbelieve them.

Utah is splendid.
Some Mormons do things that do not deserve respect.

Mocking requires less maturity and respect and EFFORT than being kind and compassionate. Granted, I wasn't terribly broke up when the last Pope died, but I certainly didn't get all mean about it!!! I figured all the Catholics in the world were probably pretty upset, and I felt compassion for them. When the Dali Lama dies, again- It will be a pretty bum deal that a great leader died... and I won't be hating on all his followers.

Utah isn't 100% LDS. And I think the majority would disagree with LDS doctrine, but love the LDS person. It's not a hatred for you personally. It's just a disagreement with the teachings that your church espouses.
