Then be a friend and don't make any moves on him, let there relationship run it's course. If he likes you now he will probably like you when they break up, if he doesn't then it would have been a waste of your time anyhow. Good luck.

"going out" is not exclusive.
They are not a couple.
If they are single you can date them.

FYI,
I've seen guys be friends for years. I myself have guys friends that I've know for over half my life. HOWEVER, women don't seem to keep friends as long. They do have these incredibly intense friendships that over time burn out. There are a few that I've seen who manage to keep there friends longer, but they seem to be separated over a longer distance like 100 miles. So in the end date the guy because the only thing you have to lose is a friend you will ditch in a year or two any way.

Well first thing is first. Think of what you would think about your friend if she took him from you? How would you feel if your friend took your man behind your back. You need to talk to your friend first or just let is pass and don't act upon anything. Men come and go but friends are always there when you need them!

Walk away. I am sure you can find yourself plenty of guys you "like" that aren't going out with any of your friends.

If he had any character, he wouldn't be discussing how much he likes you but continues to go out with your friend, now would he?

ok the key word in your question is "FRIEND" what do you honestly think of screwing over your friend for a little d.ick? I know he is not the last guy on earth and you should have more respect for yourself then this.... would you really like it if she did that to you? no you wouldn't, stop being desperate and find a guy of your own :) :) :)

Don't do it... If he liked you then why didn't he get with you, he got with her, shes your Friend, there's plenty of guys out there, this can lead into trouble between you and your friend! So if you don't want the drama, its not worth it to try to hook up with him!

Seriously, invite him to a 3 way. If that doesnt work, you need to go find someone else because you will lose your friend if you and him have any chemistry.

do a favour to your friend and tell her the whole situation,so that way she can have a much better guy than this one.coz its not fair to her if he's dating her but his mind is on you..
and dont date this guy if you girls are close friends, coz guys wil change ..friendships last longer !! dont loose a friend !!
