this questions can be answered two ways.

for once a virgin is someone, especially a female - since the whole issue of virginity seems to be mainly a female problem - who is innocent of the sin of sexual activity. what acts exactly constituate sexual activity in this matter is under constant ferocious debate. According to a recent President of the United States, fellatio, in layman's terms known as The Common Blow_job, does NOT qualify as sex.

Since there seems to be no way to find a consensus in this debate, we should perhaps have a look at the other, less problematic answer.

A virgin is a female with an intact hymen. this tender fold of skin tissue, also known as the Maidenhead (or more profanely the Cherry) partly blocks the vaginal canal and usually is more or less painfully removed by the first male penis ( or accordingly shaped object) that enters it.

but wait... of course there is no final answer here either. a hymen can nowadays be repaired or replaced. weather or no that also restores viginity is once more open for debate.

i hope that cleared things up a bit for you... although i know that it probably wont.
