my husband has problems going to sleep at night...this occurs every night. he ends up going to sleep at 3 or 4 in the morning every night. but before he goes to sleep he has to close all of the closet doors, restroom doors, etc, and when he is ready to come upstairs to sleep he runs up because he says someone is behind him chasing him...he can sense it...and also that is the reason why closes the bedroom closet doors and the rest of them because he claims he cansense someone or something looking at him...what can i do to help him catch his sleep and rest without him sensing this?

this is on and off. he will be fine and not sense anything...but then there are moments where he does...and i might think that there is a ghost or something scaring him... he doesn't like the dark and it's not funny... he doesn't need psychological help because he's perfectly sane. i would know if he was a little crazy but he isn't...

My first thought is the physical. He should get more "B" vitamins. I have had good results with stress tabs. This is a mixture of vitamins which are used when you are stressed, and thus might be in short supply. Also good is nutritional yeast. (I take a tablespoon mixed in a glass of V-8 juice. The other thing needed is more vigorous physical exercise. At least 1/2 mile brisk walk just before dark. (has to do with balancing physical and mental exercise/ stress). This is the time of year when susceptible people have difficulty with Seasonal Affective Disorder. This is caused by the lack of brightness causing the daily ebb and flow of the body clock to get out of sync. Get really bright lights, and turn them all on in the early morning. Try melatonin in the evening. (your body makes melatonin, but it might be low at this time of year.) A lack of It kind of causes "jet lag". If the physical things or in order, consider a spiritual cause.
The Messiah has promised to give us peace (John 14 27) and if we don't have peace, from Him is the only place we can get it. So get into harmony with Him, and His Word, and you will have peace.

You need to take him to a doctor. My grandfather (who suffered from dementia and died from a series of strokes) was convinced for years that there was someone trying to break into the house. You seriously must take him to the doctor to make sure there is nothing physically or psychologically wrong with him, which it sounds like there is (needing to close all the doors is pretty classic OCD). Good luck.

This is way to 'general' information to give you a real answer.
So many things could be the cause . . .
Is your husband a serial killer and the FBI are almost ready to bring him in?
Does your husband have a "syndrome" from war? or other battle experience?
Has he been afraid of the dark ever since his childhood?
Has he made any pacts with Satan?
I'm NOT joking about any of these questions (in the "People of the Lie" by M. Scott Peck . . . he had a client who had made a pact with Satan . . and was very compulsive therefore . . .)! ! !

Nothing very different, it happens with many ppl.
Its basically a state of mind. The more we think the more we feel. In reality there isnt anything like that.
Tell him some of ur fears and phobias, he may end up giving u courageous advices.. and that way he might have to show u that he doesnt get scared of anything.

ok i dunno what your view is on this but what if he really can sense someone? like a spirit or malevolent force? Why don't you get a qualified medium to check it out to see if they sense n e thing. And if you don't believe in all this stuff then i'm sorry if i offended you. If it isn't this then maybe be has OCD but before you start making assumptions get him help, like a psycologist there's nothing worse than worrying over a loved one. At least then you'll know you have done all you can to help him, he will appreciate it too. good luck :)

Unless your hubby is 8 years old, he has some serious issues.
Forget doing something without him sensing it, get some professional help

Seeing a psychologist might help. No, I'm not taking the piss. If he believes he is being followed when he isn't, you need to find out what's wrong.

Don't let him come upstairs, start distracting him from downstaires, make love to him may be, don't ecstase, let him exaust and fall asleep downstairs. Or you can attract him upstairs with a sexy dress you never wear before, then make love to him till he gets exaust and fall asleep.

he's probably thinking negatively too much
you should probably take him to a doctor
i used to think satan lived under my bed when i was like five and i would have to go to the bathroom, and run back and jump on my bed because i was afraid he would see me... not the same i know but yea
the best idea would be that you should take him to the doctor...
