Why do guys claim they like a girl, if they're only "physically attracted" to her?

Yeah some jackass said he liked me, but he told me later that it was because he was physically attracted to me. Sucks for me, but I wanna hear from you people.

well it's one and the same for guys "like" and "physically attracted" may serve the same purpose in his mind, especially if he has a limited thinking capacity and a narrow vocabulary.
You need to learn how to read between the lines, do not jump into any sexual relationship till you really get to know the person, and if you make the odd mistake, so what, this is life and you are human. Make sure to use protection at all times.

It depends on the guy's age, but for young guys "liking" is mostly about "lusting". I think you should assume that most guys will be attracted to you initially physically, and then you can see if the emotional connection is there (or if it grows). If you just reject guys because they're physically attracted to you then you're sort of setting yourself up for loneliness because it will only be until mid-30s when guys might start considering personality as more important.

When you first meet a girl what else is there...give the guy a break!! If after 2 years he still ONLY thinks your hot then you have something to complain about...as for now relax, how do you fall in love with a girls mind when you meet her in passing at a bar??!!
