Look into a cruise ship, or have her see her doctor. A hypnotherapist helped my inlaws fly to my wedding (we were all skeptical, but it worked and didn't cost much). My husband takes a mild tranquilizer (Ativan/Lorazepam) when he flies. He is still concious and coherent, he just doesn't care about his fear of flying. He remembers it, the emotional feelings just aren't there.
Tell your parents to find a way around it, or miss the wedding. Not to be harsh, but they sound like they are being unreasonable. Ask them what is stronger, her fear or their love for their daughter.
Maybe you can have a big wedding here, and a small reception there if they won't come.

You're right about your mother needing help. Unfortunately, she's going to have to be the one to decide that.
You do have several options, since you say the wedding is in the summer:
1) Tell her if she doesn't get help, she's going to miss your wedding. I don't really like this one, but sometimes motivation is needed.
2) If you can, get your parents a cruise on a luxury liner. That way, she can at least walk around on the decks. And it will be like a second honeymoon!
Good luck with your mother and your wedding!

In cases like this your mother could be sedated for the trip I recommend talking to the airline and her doctor.
Maybe you could have the wedding in the U.S and honeymoon in the U.K and while in the U.K have a blessing that way your mum can celebrate the wedding that way.

It would be best if you could have your parents at your wedding and medication is really the best to come. but if she is still unable (unwilling) to come try setting up a computer at the church with a camera and they could see the whole ceremony
and even feel involved

well umm I think if ur already have like the plans in US you should have the wedding in the US and have the honeymoon closer to ur parents so u can see them and take pictures of things for ur mom since she doesnt want to go to doctor it doesnt mean she has to miss it so just video tape it so she doesnt miss out and shes a grown woman so she doesnt have to do what she doesnt want but explain to her why u want her to go to the doctors so badly.
