You should comfort your girlfriend by sucking on her nipples. That works every time. It will calm her down immediately.

If at all possible, do whatever the person who deceived them in the situation was supposed to do.
For example, if her family grounded her or took away her car and she couldn't see her sister in a nearby town, drive her to see her sister. Or, if she lost a contest of some sort, help her find a contest she can win and work with her to put things together to win it.
On the other hand, if you absolutely can't "fill in the blank" like that, just spend time with her, put your arms around her, listen and repeat what she said in your own words let her know you understand...you know the usual stuff. Also try going to do something carefree: go swimming, to a comedy movie, have a small party and invite her friends, just try and get her mind off it and remind her what great things she has in her life.

Depends on the situation. Sometimes certain situations happen, like a women loose her mother. You can't do anything for her but be beside her knowing you are with her is comforting.

Listen attentively. Comfort wholeheartedly.
Give her bear hugs and kiss her tears away.
You say you cant do anything about the situation, not unless you try. She needs you right now. Dont let her down.

Before you hug her or touch her or whatever, you need to asses the situation and see if you should even go near her. Sometimes people would prefer to be alone. But then again you should try to get to the point where you can hold her, or else she might get mad at you for not being there once she is past whatever is bothering her.

Well, maybe you can play a game, hold her. Makes every girl feel secure when they're crying. Maybe talk to her about something she likes. Try to help her the best you think you can do.

i only know that i would want to be held, comforted, sympathized with. hubby used to do that for me, when he knew he couldn't do anything to help me (usually because i was grounded or i'd broken something that i really liked, or was embarrassed in school, etc.). that meant more to me than anythihng. i loved him and wanted to feel loved in return. feeling him put his arms around me while i was crying or weeping, or hearing him on the phone saying he was sorry i got hurt, etc., just hearing his voice or feeling his touch made life a little better at that moment. i knew i could always count on him to be there for me. when my mom died, all i needed in that moment was to feel his arms around me, holding me close, holding me tight, letting me sob uncontrollably and giving me assurance that he would hold me as long as i needed him to. that's what counts when two people love each other. it means the world to a woman, it means a good foundation in the relationship. hope this helped you dear and good luck to you.

I would get her a thing of wild flowers with a card telling her that if there is anything that you could do for her to let you know and that you will always be there for her no matter what.

say you understand her, and that tears wont help to solve the problem. and that its not worth her tears. and when she starts to calm down ask her "what do you want to do right now?' if she says somwething sensible then do it togehter if she says somethnig like "nothing" then ask ehr out for a cuup of tea and spmething sweet. it will cheer her up. then try to change the subject to something funny. so she gets her mind off things.
good luck

Don't say anything just hold her and let her cry it out. Just show her that you're there in case she wants to talk.
