God has always been. God created everything. God created man. God gave man free will. Man screwed up lots. God tells man that he is the only God. God gets mad (lots). God tries to help the Isrealites. Isrealites screw up. God sighs. God sends himself as Jesus. Jesus lives the first ever perfect life. Jesus (a.k.a. God) dies and in doing so we are forigven for all of our sins, as long as we accept God and Jesus.

Yes I missed some parts, but can we all agree that's the gist of the bible, and throw in some Holy Spirit in there somewhere as well.

"Add in "The Resurrection" and you've got a pretty good start. "

Good point, oh and Jesus is too God, don't make me look it up.

not a nutshell no... but you have brought out some major correctness from scripture and put them in layman terms.

The Bible can't be summed up on a few words.... you leave a lot out that is important.

but good try my friend. :o)

That says it quite well.

I would just add at the end, that after we accept Jesus as our Savior, we need to do what God told us in the Bible, so we do not screw it up also.

I'll bet you used Cliff Notes for all of your reading assignments in school didn't you. Have you ever read the Bible? Don't base your knowledge on what you hear, experience it first hand. Start with the New Testament then go back and read the Old Testament.

Nope. As someone who is not a devout anything, I can attest that there's a lot of great messages in the bible that are applicable to people everywhere- not just those who accept God & Jesus.

No. God and Jesus are not the same...Jesus is God's son who was sent to die on the cross and take our sins away.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that who so ever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Sounds like you are struggling with this. I suggest you get in a good bible based church and seek out people your age so you can get a better understanding because it is obvious you are in inner struggle
Peace be with you, and btw Jesus really does know your name.

How can you put different books written by different authors at different times in a nutshell? Plus there are lots of problems with your statements, they reflect more Christian theology than the Bible itself.

Actually, you need to amend, "God created man." To "God created man. Man got lonely. God created woman. Woman tempted man to turn away from God. Woman is root of all evil."

But that's the gist.
