Just read the Bible and you'll get your answer man. This question is like asking "When Jesus healed the blind men, didn't it just count back then that he opened their eyelids so that now they could see?"

God will certainly determine the time and means with which to destroy the earth. The Bible will tell you what it is to be like on that day in several references. No one knows the source of the fire that is to destroy all the elements but you can be assured it will happen. The "rapture" is a theory some have interpreted from some verses in Revelation. There is not enough evidence to prove this will occur. See Matthew 25:31-46. When Jesus comes in the air, the dead in Christ shall rise and we will meet Him in the air and ascend with him to heaven. Those who disobey and shun Him will be sent to eternal damnation. When this happens, who is left for this "rapture"?

I wouldn't consider that the "rapture" I'd consider that now wer'e all screwed! I think everyone has their own "rapture" moment at the time of death, or just shortly thereafter. I do not believe there will be one worldwide event - otherwise all the people who have passed on before this event will have missed out. It's the only way to make sure everyone is involved, is to do it individually.

The word "rapture" is not found in the Bible. It is another man-made doctrine that is unscriptural. Anyone whom God selects to reign in his heavenly government, must experience death first, and then they will be changed from a fleshly body to a spiritual one, for "flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God" 1 CORINTHIANS 15:50
Some will be changed instantly (1CORINTHIANS 15:52) while the rest will have experienced the full effects of death and will be raised up as invisible spirit bodies and will then be taken up to heaven to rule as kings, priests and judges along with Jesus himself.
The Bible tells us that the world will never again see Jesus. When speaking to his disciples at John 14:19, he told them --“A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also." Since his disciples were promised the reward of ruling with Jesus in his Father's heavenly government, only they would be able to see him in a spiritual sense, as will all those whom God selects to rule with his Son. The only way that the rest of the world would "see" Jesus, would be with the "eyes" of understanding. Jesus gave us signs to look for when he came to inspect the earth and that is what his followers here on earth would look for, and then they would know he had arrived.

God has said that he will not destory the world in a flood again - that was the covenant that he made with Noah. So...other than that, no one really knows how the world will end. We only know that it will be like "hell on earth".
The Bible says that everyone will see and hear Jesus upon his return to the earth. It also says that when he comes, every person will have heard of Jesus Christ (and made their choice whether to believe or not).

Global nuclear war would not count as being ruptured.
His appearing will be as lightning flashing from the East to the West.

The origins of the doctrine of the rapture are hotly debated. The Orthodox, mainline Protestant, and Roman Catholic churches (which represent the majority of Christians worldwide) reject the doctrine, in part because they cannot find any reference to it among any of the early Church fathers [1] and in part because they do not interpret the scriptures the way that Rapture-believers do.
The Apocalypse Of Saint John
Chapter 22 16
I Jesus have sent my angel, to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the root and stock of David, the bright and morning star. 17 And the spirit and the bride say: Come. And he that heareth, let him say: Come. And he that thirsteth, let him come: and he that will, let him take the water of life, freely. 18 For I testify to every one that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book: If any man shall add to these things, God shall add unto him the plagues written in this book. 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from these things that are written in this book. 20 He that giveth testimony of these things, saith, Surely I come quickly: Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
