My g/f is a Crhistian and she asked me to go with her to one of those meetings where all Crhistian followers sing, read the bible and stuff and all the leaders in charge of it seemed kind of fake to me. Have anyone who is not a Christian been in these kinds of gatherings?

The enemy would be Satan and his followers. If the group seemed "fake" try a Christian service from a Church directly founded by Christ and his Apostles in unbroken succession to the present day like the Catholic Church.

To the Christians who use the "enemy" argument, it's anyone who is not a Christian. Of course, the Bible does not back that up.

Yes. I'm a Pagan and have attended gatherings like that with friends and family. Some were fun, most were boring. If you go and it gets boring, just remember... it doesn't last forever. ;o)

They probably mean non-believers. Sounds like they're rather fanatic...and that's dangerous in any religion. I'm a Christian, but not a fanatic, and do not believe that non- believers are the enemy. In fact, the fanatics of any religion, are the enemy to that same religion - they make enemies instead of friends, and scare people away rather than encourage them. God wants us to love, not hate!

Great question! The "emeny" is a softer kinder way to refer to Satan. Keep going there, and ask lots of question from people you age group.
Christ is real. I know he really loves me. I have had many deep spiritual moments

Believe it, or not, but when christians say the "enemy", they are talking about our world. They are against our world. Isn't that awful?
To a christian, this world is a foul and fallen place, and they only look forward to a "new" heaven and earth.
So, how do you think such a mind-set effects their attitudes toward life here on earth?
Weird, eh?

The enemy is Satan and his evil spirits who prowl through the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Our enemy is Satan. We don't wrestle (fight against) flesh & blood. So, ignore the straw men that some people are inevitably going to set up here.

The enemy, in traditional terms, is "the world, the flesh and the devil".

The enemy is Satan and his dark forces! He is the reason they fail and do bad things to us non-Christians... so blame him.
