Just wondered if any one had read the baby whisperer and done the toddler quiz? My toddler who is 16 months is "spirited" and wondered if anyone else had a spirted toddler. Isn't it hard work sometimes when there always on the go? What activities do you do?

My child was (and still is - he is 6)

And what a gift.

He was very "high maintenance" as a toddler - I thought I'd lose my mind - , but one he started school he has always been the teacher's start student - behavior and academically.

We went to the park A LOT. I joined a MOMS Club group, and I surived one-day at a time. I made sure to have clear rules and consequences and a routine. And I learned to shop a lot after bedtime. "Raising your Sprited Child" helped me a bit - and I like how Supernanny manages kids - watch her show.

I also kept in mind the yin & yang. With his high spirit came an intellegence and curiosity about life I would never have exchanged for a more docile child.

Enjoy him - and it will get better

Remember "this too shall pass"

I have a spirited toddler also. It is non-stop all day. People always comment to me that I have my hands full. (I have a 1 y.o. who is also "spirited.") I have to go outside with them, no matter the weather, so we don't go crazy inside the house.
Activities? we tumble, play hide & seek, go to the playground, run around in the cul-de-sac.

Toddlers are always on the go. My son did a hill walk with 1000m change in elevation when he was three. When we got back, he wanted to go to the playground.

Try reading the book "Raising Your Spirited Child" by Kurcinka.
