My favorite was and still is the Zero bar. It used to be five cents, back in "the day". It can still be found at some stores. I liked the white chocolate covering. Never heard of Cabana. Grew up in Chicago. <*)))><

I loved the Snickers then, and I love 'em now....Too much I think....:-)
I don't remember the cabana bar, but I do remember the fake cigarettes. They were fun...They wouldn't survive in today's PC world though.
Cheers!

I grew up in a cardboard box in the middle of Scotland Road in Liverpool, we never 'ad no sweets.
Seriously, I was born in 1943 and even after rationing stopped, sweets, chocolates and cakes, tasted so disgusting (surely the cows and hens didn't fight the Gairmins?) that I was put off sweets and desserts for life.
Give me a ham sarnie anyday.

My mother loves the coconut tobacco, I have never tasted it. I used to love the chocolate toffee from Thorntons, or Tom Thumb pips.

I remember fake tobacco!!

My absolute favourite was SMARTIES!!! When we were very young, we would get one smartie each day...ha ha...I kid you not! If we went to the doctor he would give us one as well.

I used to use the red ones as pretend lipstick!
An old Smartie advert showed the screen filling up with smarties and I used to really wish I could somehow get at them!

When I got older I was able to buy tons! I still love them now....especially the orange ones.

Felicity - ha ha, 'you were lucky!'
