I really don't think it makes any difference; the amount of liquid is so small. It would be interesting to make 2 pots of chili: one with drained beans and with undrained beans, and see if anyone can tell the difference.
BTW, I don't drain.

I never rinse my kidney beans when making chili. They add a lot of colour and flavour.

No.You don't to do that.When I use the beans for my Italian-style beans dish I add the syrup into the other ingredients.It work for me very well.The syrup add some flavor and juice to make the perfect balance in the dish.

You can go either way. Adding the liquid will thicken the chili. If you wanted a thicker consistency, add it; otherwise, rinse them.

I am a cook, but I never have drained kidney beans but other things in a can i do' but i guess it wouldnt hurt, something to make you go' hummm

Yes. Kidney beans are usually packed in a sweet, syrupy, liquid. You don't want that in your chili! I always drain and rinse all my beans, doing this reduces the starchiness and salt.
