How long can you or have you used the excuse "I just had a baby" for remaining a little chubby after you gave birth?

I want to know how long I can still get away with it...lol :)

I still used it when my son was 3. It worked for me but no one else seemed to buy it:)

I never really used it, BUT I think up until about a year. All the books you read are crap when they say you can get rid of the baby weight in 4-6 months. My kid was 8 months when I got it all off!

Now, factor in the fact that if I had been breastfeeding I probably would have kept the weight on longer - so I think about a year is a good excuse.

Well my youngest are 3 and I still use them as an excuse as to why I am not fit n trim yet.

Then again, I have 4 kids ages 3-6 and I go to school full time at night, so I also have no time to work out lol.

well i tried not to use that one. my sister in law's son is four and she still thinks thats an excuse for being over wieght. my older sisters blames her wieght on a thyroid condition. but after she got tested for it and did not have one she is dieting. i would say once the child is active ( walking or crawling ) your time is up for that one. good luck.
