Green Bean Almondine
Ingredients:
2 cups cut green beans
boiling salt water, to cover beans
1/4 cup sliced almonds
1/3 cup chopped onions
3 tablespoons butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
3 tablespoons vinegar
5-6 slices bacon, fried crisp crumble
Cook green beans in boiling salt water until tender; drain and set aside.
Saute almonds and onions in butter in a large skillet until onions are tender.
Stir in salt, pepper, garlic powder and vinegar.
Mix in beans and bacon.
Cook until heated through.
Serve warm.

I personally would like Glazed baby carrots, or maybe some snow peas,French style green beans with blanced red pepers

We have had variety at our table. Creamed Peas with onion. Also have had brussle sprouts and carrots. There is a package of frozen veggies that is called "Winter Mix" that works pretty good as well.

With it--I can taste summer squash, green beans, onions, and carrots sauteed in a little olive oil. Have your veggies cut ahead of time, and it will just take them less than 5 minutes to cook. Season with salt/pepper and coriander. It also adds color to your plate.
