I love Wheat Thins, but I find them really addicting. The food pyramid does recommend 6-11 servings of grains. Should I continue to buy them as a snack- I get the Multi Grain ones?

If you follow a program such as Weight Watchers - they really arent the best choice. They have a lot of salt and carbs in them - and I know for me that once I start, I cant stop eating them. You should definately get your grains elsewhere... Try lite wheat bread, lite english muffins, oatmeals, cereals made from whole grains. . . I would say limit your intake to one serving of wheat thins a week and remember that is only about 13-15 thins......not very satisfying...

That will depend on what you want in a healthy snack: low fat content, low sodium, or low calory count per serving.

And remember, nothing is healthy if you gorge on it. As addictive as wheat thins are, stick with the recommended serving, and then search for other grain options to round out your diet.

No they are not healthy they contain high frostose corn syrup witch turns to fat in the body and also causes liver and kidney failure. Plus they are loaded with carbs so not really a good choice.

Nope!

Well, they are healthier than products with enriched wheat flour (white flour), but overall, they are not that healthy.

They are just better alternatives

I wouldn't eat them. They're loaded with sugars-- how many types of sugars can they get in there??
Sugar, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Corn Syrup, Barley Malt Syrup...
The "multi-grain variety" has all those sugars PLUS molasses.
Corn syrup is what makes people so fat.
