How about carrying a "I love (him) placard when he is around, or wearing a T-Shirt with a similar message.
And how could you like someone who is"thick"?
Do you want the "major hints " because you are thick as well? If so you would make a beautiful "thick"pair.

join the club, i'm shy too, and i ended up not telling him then he's gone forever, alot of my friends does this, they put a note in his locker, send him candy gram (or stuff), give him stuff on Valentine's day, ar write in a note something like "I love ***" then when she see him coming, she drop it on the floor like it was an accident, then again, u never know, he might just step over it and let someone else pick it up, i think write a note is the best
