Before you lose any weight - check out what your weight should be for your height http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/

This site will tell your exact healthy weight range. If you need to lose weight, you have to excercise moderately for at least 60 minutes a day. You can do 4 sessions of fifteen minute walking or two sessions of 30 minutes.

Don't cut your calories too much. In fact you should eat more frequently. 3 regular meals and two healthy snacks like veggies and dip or fruit or whole wheat toast and peanut butter. You should eat protein at each meal and snack, try one hardboiled egg and some carrot sticks.

Reduce the amount of refined carbs, like potato chips, mashed potatoes bread and white rice and replace them with salads with oil and lemon juice for dressing.

If you follow this plan you will lose weight within a few weeks. If not you need to see your doctor so he can make sure that your problem is not because of hormones like thyroid.

It's going to take more then a month at the gym to work. Definately keep up eating small portions of food. Drink water. Best way to lose weight is a LOT of running. If you don't want to run. Do a lot of walking. I lost weight walking 3-5 miles aday (fast but not crazy speed walking style). Try not to eat out all the time. Stay away from sugar. Water water water.... drink it. .....1-3lbs a week is a healthy amount to loose. You'll loose a lot of water weight quickly and then it will seem like you are in a rut... don't give up. Continue what you are doing. Sometimes you'll have to increase the amount you put in etc... put in at least 30 minutes of cardio 3 days a week and 2 days a week put in weight lifting. You should see if you can get a gym membership and see about getting a personal trainer...some gyms have a a trial period for free or at a low cost... they can help you out a lot.

As it is well known exsercise and eating less is the only healthy way to loose weight. Couple of things that can be done, try counting calories. For example if you are more a sitting person, and u don't really have any movement during the day tell our self i can only eat 1000 calories a day, and keep a little book with what you eat and how many calories, just make sure that you eat less then the amount your burn. The other really great way is to have a person who stimulates you, like a personal trainer or a nutritionist, who can help you out with making healthy choices.

First of all, you need to eat to lose weight. Now obviously, eating nothing but junk isn't going to do it. What you need to do is eat a sensible breakfast. It really is the most important meal of the day. It wakes up your metabolism. To keep it going, you need to stay active. Drink lots of water, and I mean a lot. Try to avoid soda as it contains caffeine and caffeine dehydrates your body. If you drink soda, try caffeine free. What I like to do is eat a banana right when I get up. I walk on a treadmill for 1 hour then I eat a good breakfast. Whether it be a high fiber cereal (Post Raisin Bran) or Quaker makes a good instant oatmeal for weight management. Its called Weight Control. I prefer the banana bread flavor. I try to eat my main meal for lunch and have something light at dinner. If you think having a support system will help (I did) think about joining weight watchers. It worked for me.

Do you like crunchy nut or special K? if so do there 2 bowls a day diet, and also dont try and pressure you self into doing weights and on the treadmill, do sports games for as long as you can with other people because they're really fun and you feel great after doing them. Just don't try these non eating,2 hour a day workouts things because they never last

I can't say enough good things about Weight Watchers. They have a good, healthy program that helps you make lifestyle changes in both diet and exercise. The meetings are cheap. (You'll save the cost of the meeting just in the changes on your grocery bill.) It's a very flexible plan. They've been around for ages. And, the groups are full of people that care about you. Call them up...you'll be glad that you did. Good luck with your weight loss journey. :)

I lost 50 pounds in six months by doing strictly cardio exercises (e.g., walking and jogging) and cutting back on my portions. I didn't even do a single sit-up or crunch until I got rid of the flab and wanted to work on my six-pack.

To lose weight, you should stick with going to the gym. Some people eat because they are bored. See if you eat because you are hungry or just bored.
