Being too thin may cause blood pressure to become too low. I know it is hard to believe in a society so concerned about high blood pressure...But yes, you CAN have low blood pressure which is more dangerous than high blood pressure. Usually someone with an eating disorder will have low blood pressure. And it is more dangerous because the organs and the systems of the body may not be recieving the proper blood and oxygen supply.
With high blood pressure, the body can actually cope with that for a long time, years in most cases, before it causes problems or that you even notice it. That's why it is called "the silent killer."

Both can be bad. Most people associate thin as a good but it does not necessarily mean healthy. Too thin usually mean you have no muscle mass, if you don't commit to some weight training your bones will become weak and fragile. Cardio exercise is needed for your cardiovascular system, heart and lungs. With a good workout the thin person could gain a better body proportion and the overweight person could use the same program to become healthy.

What do you mean by "worse"? Worse for your health or less attractive??
Being obese carries much greater health risks that being under weight. That's a fact!!!
Being obese is also totally unattractive. The abdominal wobble... the double chin, the lack of features, the thighs rubbing together, the sweating, the being out of breat after just walking up the stairs.... For me that's just gross... There is nothing more attractive than a healthy, toned, strong body - whether on a guy or a girl. And that's my opinion.

Both of them can have detrimental effects on a person's health.
But from a cultural standpoint I think that being too fat is more harshly looked upon than being too thin unless the person is skin and bones and by then the damage may have been done.
I am going to say being too thin is worse because a person who is too fat can improve their health dramatically by dropping weight but a person who is too thin may have irreversible organ damage from not having proper nutrition even if they gain weight.

Health wise it's being too fat. You are at an increased chance of heart disease, cancer, diabetes and stroke from being over weight. If you are naturally thin then it's fine but if it's through having an eating disorder then obviously your health will suffer. But ultimately being overweight is worse.

Obesity frequently indicates sub-standard intelligence and education, indifference to personal appearance and an absence of will power. These people are unhealthy and normally a burden on society.
Too thin is quite rare and can easily be corrected if a person so desires.

most people see being thin as more acceptable than being fat. probably because being skinny only becomes gross when you're to the point where it's like anorexia and you can see the persons bones.

I think they are both equally bad. People assume all fat people are fat because they don't take care of themselves and that isn't always so, sometimes there are medical reasons. For some to gain weight it can be just as hard if not harder for those who need to lose. The important thing is to just make sure that you are healthy.

Too fat. But it's hard being too thin. People would never walk into a room and say 'look at the @rse on you' or 'my God your a big one' but they think it's okay to call thin people skinny or beanpole or lots of other derogatory comments. Just be yourself and be happy with yourself.

I think both are equally as bad. Both have health consequences. I find it hard to understand why it's so hard for people to be just right the same way I don't understand why people abuse acohol or smoke cigarettes. So strange.
