Go see that doctor to find out what it is. It could be swollen glands or something else but in either case you should go see the doctor.

You should see your doctor. It is probably nothing more than an inflamed hair follicle (called folliculitis), but there are other more serious things it could be as well. You have lymph nodes under your arm. When they swell, it means you are fighting some type of infection. Let your doctor determine what is going on so you can put your mind at ease. Good luck.

You 've received quite a few good advice on this site already about seeing a doctor as soon as you can. I'd just like to add that if you're very busy and cannot take off just anytime to keep a doctor's appointment, go to a walk in clinic near you when you're off work or school.

These private clinics are staffed with doctors qualified to practice medicine in your state and often times are just as well equipped if not more so compared to a private doctor's office. As the term walk-in suggests, you do not have to schedule an appointment in advance, just walk in and sign in. Some allow you to call in or access their website to check in to put your name on the list, thus cutting down on the waiting time.

The cost isn't higher and sometimes even lower and they do take insurance. Check out one in your area if you haven't already.

Make an appointment and go to the doctor. It may just be an infection but you might as well get it checked out for peace of mind at least.

If it does not go away and you are really worried then you should have a doctor look at it...but most likely it is a sebacious cyst (clogged sweat gland).

It is a swollen gland and means that your body is fighting off an infection. If you get any other symptoms, seek medical guidance.

It could be a harmless cyst (fibroid) but it's good to get it checked. It's better to be safe than sorry.
