I just about decided to buy the Sony 46" xrb tv, but found the forums on Comsumer Report and some are saying that there is "cloudness" on Sony TV. Has anyone here had any problems with it? Everything else sounds fine on this TV and I like the idea of 3 HDMI. The forums also say that the people have really had trouble getting anyone (the store they bought from and especially Sony) to fix or replace the set. Does anyone have any sugestion of a better set if they have had this problem? Thank you

There are reports that the new Sony LCDs do have cloudiness issues, but they aren't as noticable as the new Sharp LCDs.

I've been working for my dad for the past 3 years at a family owned electronics store. He's been an authorized Sony dealer for decades, and we've had a great experience overall with Sony. The new XBR LCD sets have one of the sharpest pictures I've seen on LCD sets in their pricerange. And as far as customer service, Sony has always been good to us. We've had very little trouble with the sets we've sold, and never had any trouble getting Sony to honor the warranty. All of their newer sets should come with a 1-year parts and labor warranty should anything go wrong. Just make sure that you buy from someone who is authorized to work on them. I've always been impressed with the quality and service that Sony provides, and I'd highly recommend them.
