First it deals with ethics.
Hunting is a tool of conservation, certain criteria’s govern wildlife.
If any species of wildlife by population or attitude constitutes a threat or by the act of depredation to man, personal property or its own self or coexisting species and or habitat, the offending species and its numbers will be managed in the most economical and efficient manner.
In your opinion, does the Hummingbird fall in to this criteria?
Once the situation is once again under control hunting is reduced or stopped all together.
The hunter is 100% self reliant, where as with out this tool of conservation the public would have to fund alternative conservation through higher taxes.
I nor my family have sustained collateral damage from, or feel in any way threatened by the Hummingbird.
The chances of the Hummingbird going rough or postal are slight.
To my knowledge there are no confirmed cases of the Hummingbird turning man-eater.
As long as he behaves himself, he’s safe.

Nothing funnier then a 6 pack of beer, .410 shotgun and a few hummingbirds! For a real challenge wait till night time, turn on an outside light and what for the bats! Don't forget to get more beer and shells! You'll need both!!!

I had a humming bird in my sights once, but the song was so beautiful, I couldn't do it. I only wish that bird knew the words...
