I'd rather be naked, but if that's not possible on your beach, topless is the next best thing. Beaches are really appropriate places to get as naked as possible and enjoy the sun, sand and water. It's a way to enjoy simple nudity without the onbious sexual overtones that might occur in other situations.
Plus, when you really think about it, swimsuits are really stupid. It's so much more enjoyable to be casually naked at a beach or pool, and being topless is a good first step.

I usually go topless, unless I am very worried about getting too much sun. I also wore a shirt the last time I was at the beach. I did that because I was just walking along the beach, and it was too cold to go without a shirt.
If people want to do it, they should. Though, if there are children around, it might not be a good idea. The little ones might not know how to handle it. But really, we should stop seeing the human body as an evil thing that needs to be covered all the time.

What is my opinion of myself being topless on beaches?
I always do, unless I wear a shirt to avoid those nasty ultra-violet rays. What is my opinion of women going topless on beaches?
I am all for it, if they do not mind the looks they will get from men and other women.

Most beaches here in Europe are topless. I see it a huge issue in the State. I guess we more liberal about this.

Two aspects:
1. Your personal free preference.
2. The impact from a selfishly social standpoint.
=========
1. Those who don't mind, like me, please go ahead...i am all for being natural.
2. The consideration here is a situation like this: Say i am nude on a beach, and am recorded by someone...if it ends up on a voyeur website, i don't give a damn (maybe I'd sue him for some of the money he/she has made off it!!). But, am i living in a environment where if it gets to say my boss or say my fiance's parents, it would cause a negative impact??? If the answer is no...go and have fun...if yes, well...!!

Thumbs up!
I go topless on beaches all the time.
Women look even better that way.
Wish I could get my wife to do it.

An excellent idea. The more skin available for general viewing, the less mystery and gawking will occur as it becomes more acceptable. Our society is far too uptight about such things.
Think about it. Of all places, the beach is the one place where clothing makes NO logical sense. The human body should not be a sex object. And we should not have to 'protect' children from it.

It should be a standard rule for any beach in the U.S. to be topless!

It depends where.
If the beach is in the middle of a city it's often considered a bit too much. In some countries it's not a problem. In city parks in Germany it's common to see people sunbathing naked for example.
If the beach is isolated, why wear anything ?

I am all for it personally...
Grew up in Europe..... and people just don't care about seeing womens breasts as much as people in America do.
My brother came over for a vacation, we took him to a topless beach....thought he would have a coronary. I'll admit, I look.... but then again.... everyone looks and everyone likes it and nobody really cares....
