i just started around october-november gettin relaxers and for sum reason they dont last long. my hair is kinky! is it possible to get it touched up every 3 weeks on my new growth? what should i do?! any suggestions would help...

That's cutting it a little close. Most stylists suggest at least a 6 week wait between relaxers. If your hair grows rapidly, you may be able to do it sooner. The best bet is to ask your stylist what she suggests.

You can get a relaxer every three weeks if you want to be bald. Other than that you should try to wait at least 6-8 weeks. Moisture is the key to stretching a relaxer. Keep your hair moisturized with a good product (not petroluem based) and wrap it up at night. You may need to change the relaxer you are using too. I use Precise and it lasts at least 6 weeks.

Try 6 weeks. Touching it up every 3 weeks will dry out your hair SOOOO much, and the relaxer wont work at all. Try using a shampoo specially made for relaxed hair (try Loreal Vive for relaxed hair) after you get it done, so it doesnt go kinky as fast.

your regrowth should be retouch ever month maximum five weeks. make sure never touch the previous.
