How did any other business get so good at it? It's called "marketing". Make no mistake. I am not referring to churches at the individual level. They make few if any decisions regarding doctrine. I am referring to the institution of religion as a whole and the founding fathers of Christianity i.e.. in Nicea. But Religion is and always has been a business driven by the absolute desire to accumulate and perserve power not souls. Generally any business or major institution has a better understanding at how to manipulate the "school of fish" thinkers through time tested marketing strategies of which we are ALL victim to in one way or another.

2000 years of practice with an additional 1000 years of practice in Jewish culture.
That's 3000 years of brainwashing tradition. Why is there any question as to why they are so good?

Any church, any organization, can get very good at brainwashing. If they spout off their philosophies long enough, and constantly.

We all should be thankful to get our brain washed. The process of washing means that all the dirt is washed out and only the good and clean stay. Our brain is full of undesirable dirt not only accumulated during our present lifetime but also from previous.

It's what they spent all their money on, after collecting the spoils from their military victories. They researched, tested, and figured out through trial and error the best ways to keep sheep in line, and endlessly confused.

It's easy, you just dangle a bib "live forever" carrot in front of the sheeple. You don't need any facts or logic, just that big carrot.
