I catch him once in a while laying on his stomach, rythmically rocking back and forth so that his penis is being rubbed by the floor. People have said this is normal, but is this normal so young?? Does he even have hormones yet that would make him feel like pleasuring himself? Also, I know you aren't supposed to yell at them but it really grossed me out because he is only a little boy. I wasnt ready for this until the teenage years.

from conversations i've had with guys, husband included, apprently, their penises are sensitive no matter what age and if something brushes up against it and it feels good, then they will keep doing it.
he doesn't understand why it feels good and nothing is really going to happen b/c of it, it just feels good, so he does it.

hope that helped! i can imagine how kinda weird it must be, but it's o.k....promise!

take care.

Yes, this is very normal. In fact they do start when they are very young. I think i have seen one year old boys doing this. They
pull their penis until it becomes erect. It feels good so leave them alone. I think that both boys and girls needs to feel comfortable with their genital. Just tell him that he has to do it in private. If you yell at him it may give him a negative out look on his sexuality when he gets older. I hope i helped.

I had something similar with my son happen when he was 5 yr old. At his next doctors appointment I asked his doctor if it was normal of course in private. He told me that he was a little younger then most, but it is normal. He suggested that I just talk to him and tell him not to do that in public. Let him know that it is okay to be curious but only in private.

Yes, it is normal. Supposedly, little boys start playing with Mr. Happy before they are even out of the womb! Don't scold him for doing it. Just tell him that if he wants to do that, he needs to do it where no one can see him like in the bathtub or his own room. He needs to know that it is normal for him to want to do that but that he needs to keep it private.

This is very normal but you have to be firm that this is something that we do in privacy not in public or in front of people. Don't make it sound bad or dirty. I would explain that it is not good manners and the same way we have to wear clothes when other people are around, the same thing goes for this.

Normal and has nothingto do with hormones. It is a sensitive organ. He just doesn't have the hormones to tell him what to do with it yet. Nearly all kids are curious and explore. Have open conversations with him on his level.

it's normal. if he starts doing that kind of stuff outside of the house, just explain to him that it's something that should only be done in private

Don't worry about it. I'm nearly 21 and I STILL rub my nads on the floor. It's nature.
