Well I think it's a lovely idea :)

I would recommend that you mix up your culture's food with his "homestyle" American food. That way he still gets a taste of home, while getting to indulge in YOUR country's flavors!

Here's a couple of ideas.

Hamburgers! Ground beef (1 pound makes 4), 1 raw egg and some salt and pepper. Mix up well. Divide into 4 balls. Flatten balls into circles until they're about 1/2" thick. Cook them until they're done throughout, and at the last minute put a piece of cheese on them. Put them on hamburger buns (or a nice thick bread) and offer ketchup and mustard with it!

Baked chicken: You need a whole chicken, 2 lemons, salt and pepper. Cut one lemon into big chunks, and stuff it in the inside of the bird. Salt and pepper the outside of the bird. Slice the other lemon into round circles, and slide them underneath the skin of the breast. Put the chicken breast side up in the oven and cook until done. Excellent!

Pizza - you can make these on any type of doughy bread, like pita. Spread some tomato sauce on a pita bread, top it with some fresh veggies (onions, bell peppers, olives, tomatoes, anything) and cooked meat (like pepperoni, sausage, hamburger, chicken, whatever) - or any combination! Top it with shredded white cheese and bake until the top is nice and melty.

Breakfast: Scrambled eggs are a good start. Just break a few eggs into a bowl, mix them well with a fork, and put them in a hot pan until they're not runny anymore. Serve it with some toast and fruit. You can also serve this with a side of bacon or ham.

Oh yeah! Breakfast is traditionally anytime between 6am and 10am, lunch anytime from 11am -1pm and dinner anytime from 5pm to 8 pm :)

Good luck and have a great time :)

Some of our restaurants care called Diners!

Make him a hamburger or cheeseburger with french fries. The recipies should be easy to find on the web. It's a typical
American meal, and it is easy to make!

You could also look up: Fried chicken, barbecue, cheese steak sandwiches, corn dogs. In the morning we usually have bacon & eggs, link sausage, and toast!
Don't forget the bread. We eat bread with every meal over here! Don't make it, just make sure you have the hamburger buns, sliced bread, and some kind of rolls.

Things we have on our tables: Salt, pepper & katsup!

We Americans eat breakfast whenever we get up!
Lunch is at about 12:00 pm
Dinner is usually served at about 6:00pm

Hope this helps!

Like I said earlier, The recipes will be easy to find. For example just type in: Hamburger recipies -in the search bar and see what you get!

Good luck!

We eat breakfast at 6:00 a.m. because of work

Lunch at 12:00 noon

Dinner between 6:00 p.m.and 8:00 p.m.

American favorite - Hamburger - buy buns, cook hamburger meat which is lean ground beef well done, lay a peace of cheddar cheese on top of meat, add a little onion, lettuce and tomato. Spread mustard and mayonaise on both sides of buns. You have an American hamburger. You can slice avocado and have it available to place inside hamburger.

Potato chips or fried potatoes cut in strips

Favorite drink

Dominoe's Pizza, Pizza Hut, - most Americans like Italian food.

Salt and Pepper are always on my table with paper napkins

My mom always fixes chicken strips. Just get a package of chicken tenders, roll them in flour and fry in oil until they are done. Instant cheesy mashed potatoes are good too. Just follow the direction on the box. If you made a lettuce salad and just chopped up some tomatoes and cheese on it, then heated up some bread rolls. you have a nice dinner. For lunch I would just grill some cheeseburgers and make fries. Thats typical American food. Or order a pizza :) good luck!

People's schedules vary so when they eat varies.

Usually breakfast is between 6am and 9am.

Lunch is between 11am and 1pm

Dinner is between 4pm and 7pm.

You should be able to search for any of the suggestions people are making on google along with the word recipe to find out how to make them. Know that Americans are into eating food from other locations...like italian and mexican, for instance.

Here are some american favorites.

Pizza - ask your cousin what ingredients he likes on his because this differs from person to person.
Hamburgers or Cheeseburgers
Salads
Pancakes or Waffles for breakfast with bacon on the side.

Here is a link to one of the most popular American style cookbooks. All of the foods that everyone mentioned can be found at this site...hamburgers, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, chicken strips, etc. Just don't forget to make him some of your country's specialties too! That is part of the fun of visiting another country; sampling the cusine! Have fun!

Don't forget part of the fun of traveling is trying new and different foods! I'm sure he will like trying your food too! Hamburgers and french fries is easy, just fry the ground beef patty season it with salt and pepper and fry potatoes in hot oil till golden brown, season with salt.

Most American meals have a meat, potatoes and a vegetable of some kind. Like fried chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans. You could do soup and salad with dressing for the salad.

I think the word you're trying to think of is "diner". That would be things like meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, chicken fried steak, big breakfast platters of eggs, bacon, sausage, baked mac and cheese, cheeseburgers and fries, baked potatoes, tuna noodle casserole, that kind of thing.

But I'd feed him your traditional dishes from your country for the most part. But nothing wrong with trying to replicate "American" dishes a couple times for him!

Trust me, if he's going to a foreign country he'll want to experience everything about it...even the food.

But if you're scared that he won't want to be risky, just make some pizza. Everyone loves pizza and I'm sure you've made it before or know where to order some. Hot wings.

Calm down. ;)
