he likes me. he's cute and sweet but a little shy. we DON'T go to the same school. we both play ice hockey. we will go to the same high school if i choose to go to a public one next year. we go to the same church. our families are friends...which makes the prospect of going out a little awkward...........

Make the first move, shy guys (like me) love that. Maybe email-him, instant message, or if you guys have cell phones get his number and call him alot. Just talk to him alot and if things are really going well, go for it

So your families know eachother... It shouldn't be Awkward then! Open your mouth and tell him you like him. He seems to be a good kid ask him out for a game of ice hockey and go from there!

Since you already have ice hockey in common ask him to practice with you or something to do with hockey. I would not worry about your parents being friends. At least they will already know him or know his parents when you do get together. Good Luck

AS a girl, I know that it is difficult to ask some one out, but it is important to just be close to him. He'll ask when he's ready.
