Yes it is. If you find yourself taking it rather regularly though check and with your doctor to see if you have acid reflux because there are some medications that are more effective in treating this. Prilosec is okay but Proponix or Nexium work much better. I have GERD so I know how it starts out with the heartburn almost constant.

Yes, but make sure if you take them that you also take calcium supplements as they block it's absorbtion into your body.
