Or temporarily, whilst your wearing them or wearing retainers at night having had them took off?
I had my braces taken off a couple of years ago and have since been wearing my retainers every night. However I stopped wearing them for the last week or so and got paranoid that my lips have gone a smaller less nice shape!
Has anyone else noticed anything like this? Do you think they can make quite a noticeable change to how your lips look?

I got my braces off a couple of years ago, the braces don't change the shape of your lips, the swelling will go down after you stop wearing the retainer.

Yes I'm wearing brace(s) only bottom ones and before i got them i know ed that my bottom lip was a little big (out) and that is was not right but when she measured it . It was -1 and now when I'm wearing brace(s) my lip has gone in . I hope this helps you. And I'm still wearing brace(s)

yea i had my braces taken off a couple months ago and i realized my lips are higher up i guess and i feel more comfortable with my retainer on.. i guess its just cuz im use to something there. i also realize i have more saliva after braces i dunno if thats just me but yea..

No, I don't think so. Only when you pull your teeth out. The doc said I had buck teeth and if I pulled 4 teeth out, my lips wouldn't be so puffish.
