They're not AS different as people think. Christians just tend to add total belief in God and Jesus to the requirements to be considered "moral". Athiests know that Christianity is not necessary for morality to exist. Morality is about wanting to live a good, decent life. It's about kindness, and generosity, and love. You don't need to be Christian to live that.
Some people claim morality, but then are vicious and cruel to those who don't believe what they believe, or have lifestyles that hurt no one, but don't go along with how THEY think people should be living their lives. I don't call it morality when someone displays anything other than complete and total kindness...no strings attached.

Well, atheists appear to have better morals than God. If you look at the Bible, there are the 10 commandments, which are just pure logic in order for society to work smoothly together. Amazingly that religious monkeys bring that up and state that atheists are living by God's laws. Just to point something out, that people have been around since before the bible and people had those laws (written or unwritten) before the bible.
Now that is where God and atheists' morals differ. God says that it is ok to sell your daughter(s) into slavery, Exodus 21:7, and that it is ok to own slaves Lev 25:44, but atheists do not agree as that violates people's rights and is wrong.
God's morals state to kill anyone who works on the sabbath day, Exodus 35:2, but atheists believe that if someone wants/needs to work on the sabbath day (historically Saturday, but now regarded as Sunday) that is their decision and if God doesn't like it then maybe he should help out or take money from the rich and give to the poor.
God's morals state that you are not allowed to approach his altar if you have a defect in your sight (glasses, contacts, etc), your eyesight must be 20/20 obviously, Lev 21:20. However, atheists' look at this that failing eyesight is not the fault of the human, and did God (if there is one) not create each of us, so he gave some of us bad eyes and we have to live by his morals (what a hypocrite).
The list of God's morals can go on and on, but really this short sample of God's morals and atheists indicates the difference. Atheists are not crazy and look out for their fellow human, God is indeed crazy and doesn't care about humans at all.
David M: Just FYI Nazi's were practicing Christians, so you know what their morals were obviously, the same as your murdering God that you follow. Learn your history before pointing the finger.

Well, for starters most atheists would not think too highly of a serial killer, let alone want to spend eternity with one. Since God, if he actually existed, would be the greatest serial killer of all time, then Jeffrey Dahmer and Son of Sam must have "Godly morals"
Bible Fun Fact: Jehovah has a scriptural "confirmed" body count exceeding 2.3 MILLION people . Satan; about 20. Not 20 million, 20 as in count your fingers and toes 20... Even those he had to get Gods approval for!
Satan clearly does not have "Godly morals"
I don't know a single atheist who believes that wonton murder and rampant violence is an admirable quality. Christians, Jews, and Muslims seem to think it's pretty neat though, since they all want to spend eternity in the presence of the King of Killing.
Off the top of my head, I can't think of a single Christian that wants to spend eternity with Satan either...

By the way, in response to some nimrod above me, the 10 Commandments were ripped off from the Egyptian Book of Ani, which was written some 300 years before Moses was even born. They came from Jehovah in much the same way that if a cow is born in a tree it is a bird.

This is actually a tough question because it is hard for me to know what an atheist's morals would be. I would only be guessing. An honest atheist would also have to admit the same about me. Jesus said that the two most important commandments were to Love God with all of your heart and to Love your neighbour as you love yourself. He also said that these two commandments sum up the whole law. I am guessing that atheists would be the same as us except that they would not love God because they can not love someone that they believe does not exist. However this can only apply to atheists with morals (see the examples of Nazis and Communists for atheists without morals). In practice there really may not be any difference between the morals of sincere religious people and atheists with morals. In practice there is also little difference between the values of insincere religious people and atheists without morals. In the end I believe everyone knows that it is paramount to be good to other people but not everyone will put that into practice.

Godly morals are Biblically based. An Atheist's morals are based on situational ethics, meaning that his morals will shift according to the situation. In reality, the ethics of most people, including that of Christians, is situational. This is because of the media, a largely atheistic body, that says that it is alright to have your own system of morality so long as no one gets hurt. The problem is, though, that God is hurt when people decide that they must abide by their rules instead of God's rules. People are not superior to God, but most people think that they are. This is the sin nature of man, the idea we can live apart from God. Deism, as it is known, is a false theology because we cannot live unto ourselves. It is God that created us and it is God that sustains everything around us and in us. Like it or not, we belong to God. The Godly and moral person recognizes the Ten Commandments as concrete, infallible and everlasting. He/she recognizes the Gospel of Jesus Christ as the way, the truth and the life. A person cannot call himself/herself a Christian and not obey the Ten Commandments and not believe the Gospel. God's word is always superior to man's thought.

Godly morals are defined in the Ten Commandments. As far as Atheist morals are concerned, well the difference is obvious in what they think towards those commandments.

The Lord said do not commit adultry, adultry is the act of sex without the relationship of marrage which is God given and apart of The Christ centered life, the main difference is "IF" the persons put God first in there lives they can carry this relationship on forever and an atheist which i can PROVE there is indeed no such thng as an atheist IF you will email and ask, but morals come from God, and the atheist have no relationship with anyone that last forever. We live in a world where there is a total death rate, with a atheist its a matter of one dead person loving another. Depends on which God(s) you follow doesn't it?
I think folks will find that most Atheist have a very fine sense of morals and ethics, they just don't believe you need fear of eternal punishment to enforce or reinforce them.
