we go to the same church. our families are friends. we don't go to the same school. we might go to the same highschool if i choose to go to public. we both play hockey. we both like each other. he's cute and very sweet but a little shy. how do we get together?

Start a conversation. School would be a good topic to break the ice. So would hockey, and church. Get him going on religion and it's influence on the world.
There are so many things you have in commonm. Family, church, hockey ect you have an arsenal of topics to break the ice with.
Or just be brave and ask the guy out. He may be so shy, but also scared of girls. Especially a pretty girl. It isn't uncommon for a girl to ask a guy out.

if he has a myspace and u have a myspace, give him a comment! and if ur nervous, ask another friend to tell that guy to tell him u like him. and if u arent, just tell him. and never go to the movie theaters on your first date. there's no talking going on, so you will never bond by it

Ask him out, get know him more. Be yourself and try your best to get him. You guys always can hang out after school or weekend.
