Yes, omnicef is expensive and is a broad spectrum 3rd generation cephalosporin with more of a gram negative microorganism coverage but it is not necessarily better. In treating a infectious disease requires a lot of factor. In relation to antibiotics, the correct diagnosis, the correct dose, the correct antibiotic, the susceptibility of the microorganism to the antibiotic are some factors that come into play.
