After i had my first child i worked to get my body back in shape, and felt i looked even betterthan i did before i got pregnant, all my curves are in the right place and everything is tight, my skin is glowing, i'll be going through the same routine after i have the second one.... but the real question here is are women put under immense pressure to look the best they can and bombarded with the beauty myth in magazines, which makes them evaluate themselves in terms of their physical attractiveness to men, and does this preoccupation with appearence have any damaging effect?.... i'm just brain storming let me know your views on this...knock yourself out.

It is only a problem if you see it as a problem, you solely have the chose to choose what is important to you, Why should it matter what others think or say, You are not here to satisfy the masses, It would be impossible, You would be setting yourself up for failure.

Yes, women are put under immense pressure by the media to
look good....And it does indeed cause many women to look better
than they would if simply left to their own devices...
Which is a good thing however it does cause some undue stress
which some women do not handle well...

Depends on whether you're doing this for yourself or for others. But women are under so much pressure to look perfect even when they're getting over giving birth it's pretty difficult to separate the two...

I agree w/ you but, if women didn't buy the magazines and products then there would be no issue--and if guys didn't like women to be all dolled up then there wouldn't be an issue--it's a no win situation!!

You'll never be tall enough or thin enough or crazy enough, if you benchmark the tallest, thinnest, wildest models and actresses. Be happy with yourself and others will love you as well.
