Ok , this is totally off the wall, but i have to ask.
Would a Church hold a service for your pet when your pet dies ? Cause Animals are gods children also correct ? An the church would still get there money for the service etc. I just had to ask to see what other people had to say cause my Husband just looked at me like i was crazy when i asked him !!!

Well I have never heard of this being done but you do pose a very good point, I think they are God's children also. I want to get a service dog and if my service dog died I think that would be very cool to have a service for them at church...or even just a pet dog...We should be able to have services for our pets too, they are members of the family, after all!

Let's think about this. What is the purpose of a funeral? Is it for the dead person? No, it is an opportunity for those who are left behind to celebrate the life of the person who died and mourn his or her passing. So, a funeral service would probably not be entirely inappropriate. One of the functions of the church is caring for its members, and if having a funeral service for a pet helps someone through a grieving process, I don't see a problem with it. Obviously, the service could not use the same theology as a service for a person.
However, I believe you are wrong when you say that animals are God's children. They are a part of his creation, but they are not his children.

No self-respecting minister would ever speak a funeral over an animal. Animals are God's creation, but they are not his children. The Bible makes it clear in Ecclesiastes that animals do not go to heaven. Animals do not have souls----they live by the will of God the same as do plants. At the death of a pet, the animal should be disposed of or interned properly and respectfully. Holding a family service for the pet is proper, as this is part of the mourning process. I love animals and I care for the cats at the church as one of my duties; so, I understand the deep loss a person or family feels when a pet dies, but we must keep everything in perspective.

I think churches are specifically for religion.
As far as I know; pets are not religious, so I would not think any church would do some kind of ceremony for a pet.
This sounds a little far fetched, but I don't mean to be disrespectful.

I don't think a church would, but maybe the pastor or Father would do it if you asked them. I personally don't see animals as God's children. They are beneath humans in God's eyes. But we are here to take care of them and love them.

That wouldn't make sense since Jesus died to save man (humans) from sin. God made animals different in that human beings were created in the image of God with His own hands and animals and plants were spoken into being.

It might happen sometime in the future but definitely not now.
I believe that animals are not God,s Children, but something God has created to help his creation(MAN).

Sounds like a money-making opportunity for Christians...they should be all for it, as long as Jesus is mentioned somewhere and there are bumper stickers.

No because Christians hate animals. That is the reason why they are aginst evolution. They do not want to be linked with animals

no, animals are NOT God's children, they are His creation.
"Yet to all who received him(Jesus), to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God" John 1:12
Not all people are God's children, only those who recieved Jesus as Lord and Savior.
You might want to pay attention to your husband.
