After 2 years and 2 babies, I've gotten up to 230 pounds. Which is just too much for me. I'd like to lose weight but I'm not sure what program to go on. I have a few things I can't do so maybe you can suggest some ideas for alternitives.

Diet: My teeth are bad (and I have no back teeth) so anything that requires a lot of chewing is out. Like carrots or steak. I can eat meat that has been well cooked (like a slow cooker meal). Also, anything that is sticky is out (like bread, which sticks in the cavities in my teeth, along with most bread products). I don't eat a lot of fast food, maybe once a week

Exercise: I'd love to join a gym, but they don't have daycare for babies and we don't have money for a sitter. When the weather is nice, we all go for a walk around the block. I try and park at the end of the aisle when I go to the store so I walk that little bit extra. And needless to say, I have two babies! I do a lot of running around the house already.

Something I missed? Ask me!

I'd go with low carb. No sugars, no bread, pasta, rice or grains. Read the labels and avoid foods with corn syrup (hard to do- nearly everything is loaded with it!) Meat or protein is included in every meal so you can load up the crock pot and have a few day's supply of cooked meat ready- soft chicken, roast, eggs or even protein shakes are fine. Salad is a big part of the diet, but if you can't chew it, you can substitute it for cooked vegetables like cauliflower, broccoli, spinach, etc.

As for exercising- walking is the best. Pack up the kids in the stroller and walk as long/far as you can. Walk around the block 2-3-4 times. Get small 5-pound weights (or use small water bottles) and lift weights for 10 minutes a day.

Walmart sells a few good cardio workout videos. They are only about $10 each. I have been using those after having a baby 61/2 weeks ago. These videos have helped me to get motivated and burn some calories, but they have also helped me to remember to watch what I am eating. I guess the most important thing is to get moving. Get motivated and get moving. Don't worry about what the scale says. If you are active enough, and eating right, then weightloss is secondary. I have 2 babies myself and I have found that I just need to hold myself accountable. Even if that means that I can't blame being lazy on the little ones crying all day.

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Please eat only when u r hungry and not more than three times in 24 hours. Take only water in between. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span.

well it sounds like your active;i mean hey you walk around, and you take care of two kids,i'm not a father myself but my ex had a kid,i have full respect for mommy's :D,you women have to suffer more **** than we do,if going to the gym isn't an option staying active is pretty much good enough;as long as you watch what you eat,and never overeat, you are sure to lose the weight, losing weight won't come fast unless you are planning to do it on an extreme level, and it's usually never safe for the body.

just eat right, stay active, and it's good enough.give yourself a little more pats on the back, your a mother and thats hard enough.
