I read where they can sense illness such as those brought on by cancer so I don't see why not. I think though it may be a smell that is brought on by chemical changes in the body that only they (animals) can detect.

Yes, my dog started to follow me everywhere with my first pregnancy and if anyone came into the home, she was extra sniffy with them to be sure they were OK, then followed them everywhere to watch them. She was more protective of me in a quite kind of way, not wanting me to be alone...and this was early in my pregnancy!
PS Not only a 6th sense thing, but their smell sense is so much stronger than a humans that they can smell the hormone changes in our bodies.

oh yes when i was preg and very sick my dogs laid right by my side and when i moved they would watch my every step and i believe if i got hurt or i need some thing they would have try to get it for me. dogs have a 6th sense

Dogs are amazing...mine can sense my emotions and my mother swares her dog knew when she was pregnant, so I would say yes.

well, they can sense if someone has cancer, or is about to have a heart attack so I wouldn't be at all surprised. I don't know how they would tell their owners she was pregnant though.
