If u had read ur bible correctly Mary had an intercessor by the name of Gabriel, a Heavenly angel who came to Joseph in a dream and told Joseph that he should not worry for the infant that Mary carried in her womb was of the Holy Ghost and that she was blessed amongst all women. Convincing Joseph that Mary was Pure and a virgin.

So to answer ur question if I got Heavenly assurance that my fiancee was pure I'd believe and go ahead and marry her too just like Joseph married Mary.

No, and neither did Joseph before the angel came and told him too. Now, if an angel appeared to me and told me not to fear, but the child my fiancee was carrying is the Son of God, I would believe there was something more to this pregnancy than my fiancee cheating. Im sure anyone would.

This is my theory on the whole "immaculate birth" thing:

Back then, if you weren't married and pregnant, you were stoned to death.

Now I don't know about you, but if I was in Joseph's and Mary's position I would make-up a grandiose lie, too, to save someone I love.

Which brings another question: Who really chose Joseph? Mary's family or God? Obviously God, for all things are to the glory of God. He knows who he can work with for His purposes. Joseph was a great guy, huh?

Reread the bible. Joseph didn't believe Mary until an angel of the Lord came to him. He was planning on quietly divorcing her and not telling anyone why so she wouldn't be stoned. After the angel of the Lord came to him, he realized that Jesus was the child fortold by the prophets.

Most likely not.

Joseph did not believe Mary either, but an Angle told him it was true.

I wouldn't believe her, but I could have stuck by her if told me the truth after that lie and she and the real father having terminated their relationship. Maybe that could have been the best time to strengthen our love!

No I wouldn't, and neither did Joseph. He needed an angel to come and tell him everything was going to be alright.

And if your girlfriend was pregnant without sex, would it's truthfulness be determined by your believing her?

My, how narcissistically atheist of you.
