I'm sorry you're lonely, but this will all change. We've all been there too.
Hon there's really no way to find love at first sight. If it "happens", it's just coincidence. Someone may have felt that they loved someone else the first time they met because they liked their appearance, but they really fell in love after they got to know that person.
You're at a vulnerable age. You're old enough to start thinking about a life partner, but perhaps still not mature enough to know exactly what direction your life is taking. Young people often place great significance on being one-half of a couple and you're no exception.
Friend I can honestly tell you...that you will find love when you least expect it. But please don't set your heart on the proverbial "love at first sight". Relationships like these frequently flare quickly and burn themselves out in a short time.
Your best bet is finding someone who shares your same interests. Some physical attraction is important of course, but in the end it is how the two of you communicate.
What do you enjoy doing? Skiing, surfing, coed softball? Writing? Working out? Going to church? There are tons of activities in which you can meet young women...there are lots of them out there who are looking for relationships too!
You can try online "dating" too, but try to confine it to people in your area that you can actually meet; there's too much room for dishonesty in long-distance relationships.
Best of luck to you.

I recommend you to join a social/hobby club. Y'know like, book club, movie club whichever suits your hobby.
It's probably cliche, but it's true.
