As it is I live with 4 others in a 1200 sq ft home.....I only drive 5 miles to work.....I don't like to drive around town needlessly. Just exactly how much CO2 should an individual be allowed to emit without feeling guilty?

I think you could actually slack off a bit and treat yourself to an out of town vacation or some extra winter heat while some of those people who won't eat anything that wasn't fertilized with CO2 spewing natural compost catch up with you.

There is a natural cyclic Co2 increase due to solar cycles, plus the natural atmospheric Co2 exchange due to photosynthesis (natural plant biology). Man’s contribution to the atmospheric Co2 increase has been estimated at less than 12%. If you do the math, a world wide reduction of fossil fuel use of 10 % would do absolutely nothing to ward off the natural warming cycle, and plunge the world economy in to absolute chaos, causing mass starvation and civil unrest. Who wants to be the first to push THAT button??? The liberals just want an excuse to raise taxes and legislate more control over peoples lives.

The a ways excellent is a scary outfit. All those trailer-trash republicans favor to communicate not difficulty-free and evaluate themselves "conservatives". yet they are in trouble-free words dopes for the large wealthy. the finished Bush administration has been no longer some thing yet a way of feeding the large companies. each thing is a misinform extra this end - like Bush's plan that everybody could own their own abode (2003) which later left the banks to repossess many people's houses (2007-8). And what fairly feeds the companies is limitless conflict. there's a zillion of those lies, and the fool "republicans" only devour them up. that that they had favor lies to the reality everytime. i'd say they are fairly scary UnAmerican people.

well, CO2 ain't the only problem, we have retards who feel they need to turn the thermostat up 20 degrees because they feel like they need to wear a T-shirt. CO2 is the main producer to the green house effect though and a small amount that you wouldnt produce daily wouldnt make a freaking scratch. So its kinda late but if i were you id try to bike as much as possible. and if you were a billion air start a project and start dumping more salt into the sea. The sea is being filled with fresh and losing its salinity level which is bad cause it has a higher potential to freeze easier.

You could do some easy things, like replacing incandescent bulbs with compact fluorescents.

The biggest way you can have an impact is political action/support of groups. We aren't going to solve this individually, although we can help some.

To the doubters: Climate scientists know all about natural climate changes. And 99+% of them think we are causing unnatural, rapid, and dangerous climate change. What you are saying flies in the face of an overwhelming consensus of scientists. It's like saying the sun goes around the Earth.

You can't save the earth.

If we stop all wars and end all pollution the earth is still going to die (it's called the 2nd law of thermodynamics).

Everything dies. There are no utopias here.
