Try drinking water or something else that has no calories instead of snacknig. I do the same thing, and fluids will satiate you until your next meal, whenever that may be. Either that, or you can keep some very healthy snack by you at all times, like granola.
Somethign else you can try to keep you from snacking is chewing gum! It keeps your mouth busy, and you don't feel the need to eat when you're chewing.

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Please eat only when u r hungry and not more than three times in 24 hours. Take only water in between. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span.
If u reduce the speed of eating and chew ur food well, ur craving will be gone.

Hi,
There are 3 reasons that we will be hungry.
1) We need energy and our body sends us a signal to ask us to give it more energy. As a result, we feel a desire to eat.
2) We lack certain nutrients or vitamins. So, our body sends us a signal to ask us to give it more energy. As a result, we feel a desire to eat.
3) It is time to eat and so we feel a desire.
So it is likely that your body is not recieving enough nutrients or vitamins.
Water does not take away the hunger as it has no energy or vitamins. It is just that sometimes, our body mistakens thirst for hunger, therefore, sometimes when we drink water, we feel full afterward and satisfied.
I have a solution to help you stop binging. If you are interested, you can email me at verityy@yahoo.com

I recommend oatmeal or other fiber rich foods. Fiber rich foods are great for staving off hunger because they take a long time to digest meaning your stomach stays full for longer. Sometimes, thirst can be mistaken by the body as hunger. Drink a little water and see if that helps. Water takes up stomach space too.
Good Luck

What about gum?
You could eat hard candies, like lemon drops (those gross thangs) or peppermints... altoids... something very low calorie
If you are not fat then you don't need to worry about it, really
Chew gum, maybe that'll help... you can continue to put in fresh peices to get that "new" taste
Or you can munch on things like dry cereal... very low calorie.... eat is slowly so that you don't eat too many calories
I used to have BED but It finally went away
after I got some hobbies and found that I liked those better than eating
Not that you don't have hobbies or anything...
hope this helped

I have that problem also. I have found that if I eat 6 small meals a day instead of three big meals and tons of snacks inbetween, I find I am less hungry throughout the day. Also popcorn is an exellent low fat snack that you can eat anytime without adding unnecessary calories to your diet. you can also try smoothies too. They tatse great and if you use sherbert instead of ice cream with fresh fruit and juice it is a great way to have snack without adding extra weight.

Drink water - it will fill you up just like food will. And keep healthy snacks around, like low-sugar yogurts, lean turkey or ham deli slices, or whatever appeals to you.
But more than that, you have to WANT to stop eating crappy snacks. Sounds like you have a mental challenge to overcome as well, and that's usually the hard part.
So do you want the snack? Or do you want to eat less? You have to decide.

This constant eating is filling the void of something else that is missing in your life. Are you happy? Do you feel loved, safe, secure? Once you identify what's missing, your eating habits will start to change. Good luck to you! By the way, if it helps, I'm suffering from the same condition. Haven't identified my problem yet.

Water because it fills you up and you might not be hungry, just thirsty. Your body could be sending mixed signals mistaking thirst for hunger. Drink a whole glass of water before you eat anything.

When you get the desire to eat, instead of going to the cupboard go out for a walk or a run. This way you wont over eat and you will get exercise.
