Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Please eat only when u r hungry and not more than three times in 24 hours. Take only water in between. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span.

The 3 day diet, my mom did it, and in 3 days she lost 8 pounds.
You diet 3 days, get off 3 days, diet 3 days again, get off 3 days, etc. http://www.faddiet.com/3daydiet.html
Atkins diet, but not a good idea because of lack of calcium and other foods, and you have to be on it a long time/forever or else you will gain weight back.
Weight Watchers is awesome! Get to eat whatever you want in moderation, with a point system. My mom lost a lot with that.

I will be honest the first two weeks were hard trying to get into the flow of things; but after that everything starting flowing and the wieght just started coming off and I have been able to maintain a weight of 130 lbs since then it worked great for me and if you are really willing this diet will work great for you....

consistent excerise and a slightly reduced caloric intake, try little to no carbs (pasta and such), and try getting at least 30-40 minutes of excerise at least 3 times per week. Take it easy though, other wise you can really mess up your metabolism.

cutting back on your portions, not eating white bread, potatoes, corn, rice, and other starchy stuff, and kicking up your workout routine a little bit will work.
