That's a good question. What are the realities of the world around us? Many of what we call realities are purely subjective. To one person God is a reality, to the next person, he(her/it) is not. Religions are constructs designed to guide people to believe certain things and live certain ways. While religion may not necesarily blind people to reality, it certainly determines how they view events and determine what is real to them.

Not in the JWs. Since the realities of the world a clear sign that man cannot rule himself. Religion, at least the ones that teach their followers to see the world for what it is and that involvement in politics does not change anything, do not blind their people, but give them hope for a better future. Those who involve themselves in politics, and ignore the realities, yes are blinding their people. There have been many such examples, such as the Jews being a part of the revolution that brought about communism in Russia, or the Catholic backing of the Nazis.

In a lot of cases, yes! There are very, very few religions that don't. Think of religion as a pair of sun glasses you wear: some religions only tint the way people see the world, others damn near completely block out everything.

No. Usually the opposite.

If people would spend just 2 minutes a day mediatiting on the meaning of infinity and how God uses his infinite power to sustain the continuous existence of the universe, then they would understand what life is all about.

No, definitely not. If anything it makes us more aware of the harsh realities of this world. It just helps us handle those things better through faith and prayer.

False religion, Yes. The fullness of truth of Christianity which is seated in the Catholic Church, No. In understanding God with the fullness of truth that Catholic faith gives us, it opens our eyes to see that all that is around us is God's creation, and we are God's creation, too.

"Religion that is pure and undefiled before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world." - James, 1:27 (The Holy Bible)
