I don't think your reason for choosing dating or courting should be based on which one will attract guys . . . courting shouldn't just be another "label" for the dating game. If you want a sincere christian guy who follows the Lord - wait on the Lord. Courtship provides more boundaries in a relationship which can be very helpful in keeping your purity and trying to focus on important issues when evaluating a potential relationship for marriage. But it sounds like you're young and courtship is really geared for those ready for marriage. As far as which would be more likely to attract christian guys..... I think it depends on the "type" of christian guys, if you know what I mean..... if you're dating around, a true christian (follower of Christ) wouldn't look at that behavior as conducive to an exclusive, serious, Christ centered relationship. However, at the same time, it is possible to follow many of the "rules" of courtship and still call it "dating". I think the boundaries you set for your relationship, and your dedication to upholding those moral principles and boundaries, are much more important than what you call it. Just my opinion . . . Courting is just an old-fashioned term for dating. It's one in the same. When you're dating someone, just be yourself and set firm limits around what your expectations are. For example, if you expect that a guy will treat you as his equal, then stick to it and if he treats you any less, then it may be time for you to re-evaluate whether or not you want to continue being with him. Another example would be around kissing and sex. If you believe that kissing and sex are not appropriate until after marriage, then it's important to tell him so that you can discuss it and come to an agreement. Identify what's important to you and make sure he knows and agrees that those things are important, or else conflict may arise.

Whatever your age, be sure you ALWAYS respect yourself. Do not let any male treat you without respect. You teach people how to treat you. If you let them get away with treating you poorly they will continue to do it, and it will get worse over time. And if a male doesn't respect you, ultimately he won't care for you. NEVER do anything physical with a male before you have established a real relationship with him, and you KNOW he cares for you. One of the worst mistakes females make is to think that physicality will 'get' them a male. Males love the chase. Play hard to get. Believe me - IT ALWAYS WORKS. This is not game playing. Males and females are different in most ways. You must understand that they are not like females, they don't think like females. Bottom line, in all areas, respect yourself, don't let males (or anyone else) treat you with anything but respect (and you treat others this way also). Good luck in the dating arena. BTW, dating is getting to know others. When courting, that is developing a relationship with a future with someone - what would come after some dating.

Get involved with a church youth group. The stage there is already set. Act accordingly.
The main difference between courting and dating, is that courtship has an eye toward marriage. There is usually an emphasis on similarity in interests and long range plans, and sex is de-emphasized (unlike dating, which has no specific goals).

Well, courting in my opinion is the better route to take. It allows you to form a lasting friendship to build your relationship on. I'm a christian and i believe courting will allow you to find somebody who will love you for all the right reasons. I hope this helps:)
