A couple of things........
First.. are you actually getting enough sleep? Go to bed a little earlier to help you get started a little earlier.
Also... when we make ourselves those promises at night, we tend not to remember them in the morning until it is too late. Write yourself a note so that you will see it first thing when you open your eyes. Attach it to the alarm clock or hang it from the ceiling. Once you see it.. force yourself out of bed.
Secondly.... swap the routine around. Eat first.. and plan on quicker meals like oatmeal. Then shower faster. Keep an eye on the clock or carry an egg timer with you and keep setting it at reasonable amounts of time for eating, showering, etc.
Put the goal in mind.. then work to acheive it. It'll soon be second nature to you.

Try what I do:
1. The minute you wake up, turn ALL the lights on. This fools your biological clock into thinking that it's in the middle of the day, thus pumping energy into your body.
2. Have a stereo in your room. Once you get up, tune into a station where they play mostly rock. Songs with high BPM can get your heart racing.
3. GET ENOUGH SLEEP. No one who has this answer can't emphasize this enough. A good 10 hours will get you going for the morning after. If you have to work late, sleep really early (like, 4 PM), and wake up 5 hours later.

Well it is hard to change a personality trate, my sister is the same way, and it sometimes drives me bonkers when I visit her, but it is her personality and reguardless of how lazy she is and slow she is in the morning I still love her.
There is nothing wrong with being who you are just make sure that you are to work school what ever it is on time, because those are the people who will not talorate such behavior.
If you want to change this behavior set small goals and reward yourself for doing well. Try to figure out what it is about the morning that you do not like and try fixing it. For instance you may not like showering so you might try making showing fun for yourself in some way, or you may not like breakfast, well you need to eat but make it enjoyable.
But just remember, if you find yourself not able to change this, it may be because this is what comforts you. If you are on time what does it matter if it takes you two or three hours to get to that point.

Maybe try setting a time limit for yourself. Like 5 min from the alarm to get up, 5 in the bathroom. 15 for breakfast. And if you beat the time limit reward yourself with something you like. Ask your mom to help you. It's hard to break a habit but it is possible. Good luck

Try drinking coffee to give you a kick start. I'm more like your mom.. I get up and get everything done quickly but my secret is that I try to time everything so I can put the coffee on to perk then get ready. When I am finished doing what I need to do, the coffee is done so I can sit down and enjoy my 2 cups before the rest of the day hits me. Coffee is the reason I get out of bed sometimes.

Set short term goals. Reward yourself when you have completed them. It is said that if you do the same habbit 17 times in a row or 17 days in a row it will become a ahbbit. Establish good habits. Then make long term goals. Keep your focus on who you want to be and how you want to act and not how you have been.
You can change if you really want to...you will! Best of improvement & peace to you.

Oh my God,You and Me are like Twins!
I have the same bad habit! And today I have 5 LOADS of laundry to do,and I am still in my pajamas, and I just got through cooking my breakfast,(bacon, and scrambled eggs with cheese on top),and I still have to make my bed,and since today is a holiday, and my oldest daughter doesn't have school today,I haven't even encouraged her to get dressed out of her pjs.My other two daughters are still running around in their pj's too.
And about a month ago I bought a new shower curtain for my shower and I haven't even gotten to putting it up yet.
I got it bad! It's like,I always am ready for the store, and all freshly showerd, when it's like time to go to bed again.
I guess we just enjoy sleeping in!
And I'm like you too ,I HAVE to go to the bathroom to brush my teeth, and fix my face, and it takes me forever, and when I'm doing that ,in the mean time my kids will be like,"I'm hungry",and the other "I want my juice",and the youngest is like "WAHHH!".
I guess will give our self a pat on the back, eventually ...some day, when we feel like it! lol.

can you try to go to bed earlier? Set your clothes out the night before and have everything by the door like backpack and shoes,
the morning are really hard for me too, I have to get 2 kids out the door, and I hate the mornings because I am a night owl.
Could you set your alarm clock to music?
Good Luck.
p.s its harder to wake up in the winter months

Get a good nights rest, and wake up and tell yourself: today is going to be a good day.. Listen to some music while you are in the bathroom, listen to something up beat. If its a sunny day; then say its going to be a beautiful day. Enjoy every day as if it would be your last.

1) turn the volume on your alarm clock annoyingly high and place it across the room so you have to get up and turn it off. or buy the alarm clock that has little legs and walks away from you every time you push snooze. (they seriously have one of those)
2) put on really fast paced music really loud when you're getting ready in the morning. that will get you energized and ready for your day :]
